Disclaimer: Our Reopening Policies are set up to comply with ordinances from the City of Joplin and the City of Carl Junction.
We will continue to emphasize these policies to ensure our members' safety:
One of our staff members have tested positive for COVID-19. Please review the above protocol if a positive case visits the YMCA.
We are in the process of disinfecting the facility today and Sunday. The Y will open on Monday, July 20, with the same precautions as to the temporary closure. We want to remind you the importance to wipe down equipment and surfaces after every use, promoting social distancing with in the facility, limiting non-essential group activities.
It is imperative that we reassure the safety and welling being of our staff, members and children that we serve.
The Joplin Family Y will continue to follow mandates set forth by our City Council. In reference to the new mask ordinance:
Anyone who enters our facility will need to enter wearing a mask for the safety of all staff and members. Masks will be worn in all common areas, however, may be removed during your workout while still practicing social distancing.
Masks will also be worn in the pool area until entering the water, then put back on once you leave the water.
We understand this is not a comfortable situation, and we appreciate your cooperation. Together we will get through this!
