Feel confident knowing that you can act and even save a life in an emergency situation. This class teaches participants how to perform CPR on all age groups and how to use an AED defibrillator. It also teaches first aid, so you will be prepared to help in any situation from a sprained ankle to cardiac arrest.
Students who participate in and pass the class will receive a two-year American Red Cross certification. Registration for each class will open one month prior to the class date and close two days before the class date.
Full certifications are $103 ($70 for members). All classes run from 9 am to 5 pm and take place at the Joplin Family YMCA.

Recertifications are $62 ($50 for members). All classes run from 5 pm to 9 pm and take place at the South branch. Must have a current, non-expired certification to be eligible.
